On the 350th anniversary of Heinrich Schütz’s death, the choral conductor, organist and church musician Michael Schadler, together with singers from the Graz Vocal Ensemble, will present exemplary vocal compositions by the grand master of musical rhetoric. Participants will be invited to trace the close connection between words and music in Schütz’s music while singing. Practical performance tips will round off the workshop and encourage participants to include this ingenious music in their concert programs even more than before.
